1. Do I need a special driver´s license to rent a campervan in Chile?
In most cases, a regular valid driver’s license is enough to drive our campervans in Chile. International travelers should also bring their passport and, when possible, an international driving permit.
2. Can I travel to Patagonia with Malu Campers vans?
Yes. Patagonia and Carretera Austral are amazing destinations in Chile for a campervan roadtrip. Our campers are designed for long-distance travel and outdoor adventures across southern Chile.
3. Can I cross from Chile to Argentina?
Depending on the route, season and documentation, border crossing may be posiible. Please contact us before booking so we can review the requirements together.
4. Where Do I pick up and drop off the campervans?
Malu Campers is based in Viña del Mar, near Santiago and Valparaíso, making it an ideal starting point for roadtrips across Chile.
Depending on availability and trip planning, we may also arrange pick-up or drop-off in other cities across Chile. In those cases, a relocation fee may apply and will be included in the quotation.
5. Is insurance included?
Yes. All rentals include mandatory insurance coverage. Additional informacion about coverage, conditions and security deposit is provided before every trip.
6. Do you provide roadside assistance?
Yes. We provide support during your trip and can help coordinate roadside assistence if needed, depending on the location and situation.
7- Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A security deposit is required. The amount is 2000 USD
8. Do you help travelers plan their roadtrip?
Yes we do. We are always happy to help with route ideas, travel and recommendations based on the season, destination and travel style.
